faq
is it free?
yes. there's a donate page if you feel like it.
is the game still in active development?
yes, i'm still working on it. the three new ctf maps are the latest thing. the newest version is always on the download page and the discord has the news.
it won't open on my mac
right-click the app, press open and confirm. after that it opens normally.
do i need internet?
only for multiplayer. against bots it works offline.
where do i report bugs?
on the discord.
how do i report players?
in a lobby type /report name reason, or open the pause menu, go to players and press report next to them. it goes to me. there's a bit more on the multiplayer page.
how does votekick work?
type /votekick name in a lobby with at least 3 players. everybody except that player votes with F6 (yes) or F7 (no). if more than half of the others say yes they're out and can't rejoin for 10 minutes. the host and the developer can't be votekicked. the whole thing is on the multiplayer page.
how do parties work?
open the friends and party button at the top right of the menu, add a friend and press party next to them while they're online. whoever sends the first invite is the leader, and when the leader joins a lobby the rest of the party gets an invite to it.
why do maps start with cc_ and ctf_?
i really love the source engine, half-life 1 and 2 are two of my favourite games. maps in those (and in other source games) start with a prefix for the game type, like de_dust2 or ctf_2fort, and i always liked that. so cc_ is for cubecombat and ctf_ is for capture the flag, and that's why it's cc_arena and not just arena. all of them are on the maps page.
who makes cubecombat?
just me, there's a bit more on the about page.
